Now a veteran, Jonathan Cheechoo has proven he's the real deal, and has shown no signs of slowing down in his development. The knock on Cheechoo at one time was his skating ability. However, constant training and special camps have paid off and you would never know this guy was ever behind the curve in skating. A smart player, Cheechoo seems to react on instinct. It took no time for him to adjust to being on a line with Joe Thornton, who came over from Boston during the first half of the 2005-06 season. Eventually, Cheechoo won the Rocket Richard trophy for the season's top goal scorer.  In September of 2009, Cheechoo was traded to the Ottawa Senators where he will try to regain his scoring touch.
