Cody McCormick proves that if you want something bad enough and are willing to work for it, you can achieve your dreams.  In just his last year of Major Junior, his scoring tripled and he became a legitimate NHL prospect. Coming into training camp in top form for the second year in a row, Cody had a challenge to make a very talent ridden Avalanche team.  Yet, his work ethic and leadership qualities caught the attention of the coaching staff, giving him a spot on the roster for opening night.While he began the 2005-06 season in the AHL, injuries have opened up a spot for Cody, and he now has the opportunity that he belongs in the NHL full time!
